Wow this is a great write up. I wish the medical community could get more comfortable with imperfect studies on the impact of diet on many conditions, including dementia. I understand the challenges of running scientifically accurate studies showing definitively the impact of diet on outcomes (I wrote about this in my own substack and called it the “there’s no such thing as placebo steak” problem), but it’s so clear diet can have a major impact on many many diseases, and I think the public is hungry (no pun intended!) for directional evidence in this regard, and specific recommendations for dietary protocols (not just “eat fewer processed foods”) even if it doesn’t come with the rigor of a double blind clinical trial.

I think an AI Brain Health Coach that knows your personalized risk and chats with the user daily for behavioral modification would be scalable and affordable once built.
